At Emporium Beauty Specialists, I offer a variety of eyebrow treatments to suit every taste. The differences between these treatments can sometimes be confusing when deciding on which is best for you. Each offers it’s own advantages and each has it’s own unique look and style. Which one is right for you? Read on to find out.
Microblading is the most natural looking eyebrow treatment I offer. This is due to the way each individual hair stroke is applied to the skin. As you can see from the image above, every hair stroke is drawn by hand. Pigment is applied in a way that mimics natural hair growth and makes for a realistic brow. I use a method that creates a unique brow for each client, based on the individual structure of their face, meaning that your brows will always look right for you.
Microblading is perfect for people with thin, patchy or non-existent eyebrows. The finished effect is less dramatic and defined than other treatments but offers a full, natural brow to those who desire the most realistic brow possible. Microblading is available to everybody but skin type can have an effect on the levels of retention. Particularly oily skin will retain less of the pigment than drier skin and may need more regular top ups. Most skin types will have at least a twelve month retention but this can increase anywhere up to 24 months with the correct aftercare.
Ombre or Powder Brows
Ombre Brows offer a more dramatic look than microblading, providing a more powdered physical appearance. This is due to the machine applied technique which inserts many more tiny dots of pigment rather than the hairstroke application of microblading. The result is a thicker appearance and more defined outline. Ombre brows are perfect for those looking for a more filled-in brow without the need to apply any further makeup. Ombre brows follows the same initial structure as microblading, meaning that the brow shape is still drawn using your faces unique structure. The brow shape will remain as natural as possible.
Again, Ombre brows are suitable for anybody, but this treatment retains much better on oily skin than microblading. Ombre brows are also perfect for clients who have had previous microblading and are looking to redefine their brows. When clients come to me with microblading from other artists, I always recommend Ombre as this is the best method for covering existing PMU, so if you are unhappy with your current treatment and do not want to go down the route of removal, Ombre brows are the brows for you. It’s also ideal for those who spend hours filling in their eyebrows daily!
My signature combination brows offer the best of both techniques. You get the natural, individual hair strokes of microblading combined with the fuller, defined effect of Ombre. Combination brows also have the added benefit of retaining for longer on oily skin than microblading. So if you want the hyper-realistic microblading look with longer retention and a touch of drama without the full on definition of Ombre brows, Combination brows are the way to go.
